On 5 August, four young people who are working with the Youth Justice Service spent time with a local artist – Roots 0121, at the Trust building in Broadwell Road, creating a mural to decorate the downstairs meeting room.

They inputted their ideas during the concept creation phase, then watched the artist bring the design to life by drawing with acrylic paint pens directly onto the walls. The young people enjoyed the freedom to choose colours and showed real focus and effort, resulting in visually appealing and impressive artwork.

Feedback from the project was that the young people felt it had been ‘relaxing’, ‘calming’ and ‘creative’.

Well done to everyone involved.
